This is without bar tape so add 45g:
Saddle angle needs to be fixed and maybe move levers up a tad:
@eurpeg I had to tune the RD this morning so I tested spinning the cranks backwards along with my road bike. I'd guess that the resistance is about double of the road bike but I feel like that is probably minor in the big scheme of things. I don't know, I'd still be interested in tuning this RD. I don't need a clutch or high spring tension for my use case.

7.3kg with the used parts is quite a good result! Congrats!RyanH wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 9:48 pmThis is without bar tape so add 45g:

Looking forward to hear the first ride impressions!
That's great news, I reached out to Harry Recon (actual manufacturer of Edco casettes) but didn't get an answer yet. I love Edco cassettes and have them on both my 11s SR. Between that and Campy potential launch of Super-Ekar or SR13 compatible components there's some decent weight saving to be looking forward to

That's a really nice build and a great end weight.
Keep an eye on the GKs, they're the most fragile tyre's I've ever used (35mm tan sindewall, had one tyre delaminate internally), a pity because they're a really good weight for the size and ride nice and supple too.

Would you be willing to sell the front derailleur mount?

Would love your take on BB stiffness. The aethos doesn’t test very stiff and there’s even les material here, but some reviewers out there saying it’s still very stiff. How does this compare to other stiff bb road bikes you’ve ridden?

The past few days I've done a bunch of short out of the saddle bursts to see how everything felt and today we did a group ride and the first part of the climb was probably 400w or so (at 72kg) for a few minutes, which I did out of the saddle.
All I can say is that the bottom bracket stiffness is not noticeable. That means it's stiff enough that I don't notice deflection but not Uber stiff to the point it draws attention. My Litespeed T3 falls into this category whereas a Tarmac SL4 (or 5) is in the "is this bike reinforced with a steel beam?" Category.
I'd like to throw on some 28mm tires though to get a more apples to apples comparison since 35mm tires mute a lot of what's going on.

Nah, CAR status was you rolling past me on the false flat...

Wow, fantastic job Ryan. Very nice weight/bike
It looks like you ride the 44T with the 9-36 cassette on road and 9-42 for gravel rides, is that correct?

@Yoln I don't plan on doing much, if any gravel riding with this bike but if I did an event or serious rode I'd probably swap the 40T front back on and adjust the B screw to make it work.
Gotcha. I'm considering going for the 42 chainring with 9-42 for gravel and 9-36 for road, but not sure if the same chain length will allow me to use both cassettes...
