What started as a simple goal of building the lightest c40 turned into something much more. This bike represents the elegance and heritage of a bike that changed cycling forever and also the advances in technology and materials along the way.

After 5 months; this is the outcome. Awaiting some carbon rings.

Beautiful bike. In my humble opinion, the C40 is the best bike I've ever ridden and I've ridden a lot from most of the specialty manufacturers. Did two rides on one of my two remaining C40s last week and two on my Specialized Aethos. C40 wins every day although at age 70, I may want the lower gearing I have on the Aethos. I've owned six C40s and yours is the vintage that I think was best and that I've saved.
