Picked up the final piece of my bike juggling yesterday ( 7 down to 3!), a ‘last generation’ rim frame to run alongside my Roubaox.

Had pondered a Tarmac a lot, but given the Geo would leave me with a fair amount of spacer under the stem and a massive seatpost, decided to go Supersix.

Am a bit of a Cannondale fanboy - This will be my 3rd SS, having had a Gen 1 and a Gen 2 (plus 2 Caad 10’s and a Caad12) and will be really interesting how it compares.

Having does some background checks, I reached the conclusion the 2020 was the last rim model Cannondale will sell, so mopped up a 105 build from Sigma to strip down.

I will share a build list, but expect it to come in around 6.5kg, held back by my Knight wheels (a disappointing 1.5kg) and the frame which is about 1.0kg and forks at 400g cut.

Firsts picture below was to check geo and decide on bar/stem combo.

The frame weight includes BB, hanger, seatpost clamp and some small frame parts

Fork is uncut

My only current issue is the quality of the frame finish, which is shocking! I didn’t spot this until I stripped the frame down and took the packing protection off - really not woof enough in my opinion. I have asked Sigma their thoughts so will see what there answer is.

Something comical that the only model designation on the frame is a 5p sticker put on wonky!

6.64kg as shown for shakedown ride. With eeBrakes, carbon seatpost, cages, iLink cables and light pedals, it should be around 6.3kg.

Just need to source a cannondale carbon seatpost or to get a response from Darimo (which should knock another 60g off).

I love the saddle - I have them on all my bikes including my gravel bike - they are stonKingly good value, but that isn’t why I love them - They just work for me - I have a dodgy back and the saddle seems to keep my core more stable than others I’ve used. I have tried lupinA, dila, Arione CX/OO, kurve, etc...

Somewhat annoyingly, just built up a Roubaix too and the seatpost clamp will only accept 7x9 carbon rails - these saddles are 7x10. I bought a berk dila as the sworks was out of stock and I am not getting on with it ... another mistake to add to a long list of saddle trials!! My plan now is to grind the specialized clamps to fit my saddle.....

They also do A raw version which I haven’t yet tried to save 17g.... pictures to show you what the construction looks like...

So thoughts, SISL2 or Exogram. My SISL needs a new drive side arm so put the sram on..

If I keep the sram and add extralite rings will save 52g.... interestingly the original model red crank also doesn’t need the crappy spacer on a bb30a so looks quite tidy on the NDS

As far as I know...:: in any case, gone back to the
SISL2 - it wasnt threaded and I added a stages power meter on the left.

Just Waiting for my new Farsports wheels and then can put it all back together (the knights are back for a warranty check- the braking surface looks iffy to me)

Sub 6kg May be a challenge but won’t be far off...
