Cool to know there are such events !
Then why the bullhorns lol ?
I guess it's a build decision to make between your prefferences on position/comfort/handling/time gains (uphill but also downhill).

Louis :)

I chose the bullhorns because it is a lighter combo with brake levers + aerobars + bar end shifters than a drop handlebar with traditional shift-brake system + aerobars. Descending on aerobars is fine, only in tight corners do you need to get back on the horns to brake and turn.

Finally I'm done with sanding!!
Satisfied with the end result. I put some 303 Aerospace Protectant for UV protection. Carbon fiber gets darker and shows some nice tints.
In the end there was 141g of paint on the frame and 24g on the fork. That's 165g of weight saved for free !!
Just need to respray paint on the cable bosses and then I can move to the assembly.

Cannondale Hollowgram SiSL2 cranks (172.5mm), KP250 spindle and spider (130BCD) for a total of 379g.
Of course there are some lighter cranks out there like the iconic THM Clavicula SE at 293g, but I was looking more at the weight for the combo crankset + powermeter. As far as I know the SE is not compatible with standard spider or crank powermeters. And the THM Clavicula M3 is only compatible with the SRM powermeter, for a total of 740g (!) That was not an option for me. I plan to put a 4iiii powermeter on the left crank, which would only add 9g.

As I was writing these lines I checked the THM Clavicula SE cranksets and realized they make a version with an integrated 27g left side powermeter (320g in BCD110 and 329g in BCD130). My bad. At least now I know there is room for a 60g improvement there.

Here is my Tiso Altore 366 Black front derailleur. It was sent to me by Philip Casanta, via Albabici Cycling Products. The story behind this is that he bought all the stocks from Tiso when they removed themselves from the cycling industry. This front mech was the very last available for sale... Or more precisely it was the one he installed on his display bike, and he agreed to sell it to me. Many thanks to him, great product! I will need to take great care of it as there is no replacement possibility.

Hey jellejanssen. What do you mean exactly by the crank not compatible?
I see on their website that it's compatible with BSA 68mm shells and BB30, so I it looks like it would work for a Supersix Evo.

Everytime I see a supersix it makes me want to buy one. The older style, not the new style.

Definitely going to follow this build!

Fibre Lyte carbon front mech outer plate (2g saved) and rear mech back plate (4g saved vs stock SRAM Red) for some derailleur tuning.

Hi there!
Nice interesting build, hope you go sub 5 on it.
That front mech is the one to have, good to see you have the carbon faceplate too. Apparently you can tune those down to a bit below 40g.
All the best with your build.

Hi Osoi, thanks a lot for your email and the detailed information you sent me! Just read it and inspires me to potentially drill a carbon frame to install downtube shifters. Not this one as it is meant to be more of a TT bike so I will be using aerobar levers. I would feel way safer when shifting in aero position at high speed

At 150g for the pair (154g claimed), these SRAM Aero SL-500 11 speed levers are quite heavy. But combined with the 71g brakes, that's a total of 225g, which is still 81g lighter than my traditional SRAM Red 11 shifters (306g).
