Nope I ordered a new seatpost based on several recommendations in this thread

Lighter post, will cut that to fit. And then swap out the mismatched brake shoes with DA ones and I hope that will hit 6799. I like the feel of the lizardskin tape so I'll see how it goes

So, it kind of bothered me that the used DA brakes had mismatched brake shoes, I was hoping they were what was making my particular set about 20-25g heavier than everyone elses.

the mismatched pads on the scale - 73.73g:

so I ordered some new BR-R9100 brake shoes, and sadly... they're not any lighter (71.51g )

Since i didn't see any exact weights, for future reference,

pad carrier 7.07g:

I replaced the 3T Zero 25 seatpost with a 3T Dorico LTD.

The black/red seemed to match the rest of the build nicely. No photos but the new seatpost was 185g on the scale vs 210-215 for the Zero.

Bike is at 6830g now!! 31grams to go..

I could go lighter bar tape, but I like how the current tape feels. I can easily shave 100g with skewers, but the point of the bike is to be as functional as possible, and I like the clamping force of the DA skewers...

So I think I'm going to source an Extralite Hyperstem 120mm.. that should drop at least 60g.

so I've been taking a break from buying stuff for the cannondale since I've been spending $$$ updating my Noah. I came across a new non drive side rotor 3D+ crank arm for dirt cheap... i didn't want to drop $300 to upgrade the 3df to a 3d+ to save just a few grams so this looked like a good alternative.

old 3df NDS crankarm at 285g

new 3d+ NDS crankarm at 265g

Yes I know it's a little ghetto, but I'm figuring swapping out the other crankarm is only going to save at most another 20g, and no one can see both sides of the bike at the same time the new arm has the nicer/newer Rotor graphics anyways

So at 6810g now! I just need 11g.

Will probably replace the cablehousings with jagwire elite links, that should get me under 6.8 ... all told really not a ton of effort and nothing exotic.

I like the look/function of the heavy DA skewers, but I'm pretty close to swapping them out... i'll sleep on it.

Looking to replace the DA C24s with a pair of Mavic R-SYS SLR wheels (if anyone has a set they want to sell at a reasonable price let me know!) and that should save another 100g

I ditched the supersonics.. because i cannot get them mounted without them exploding. i ended up getting the specialized lightweight tubes which work well, thinking of switching to latex

OK its been a while since I've worked on this bike. I swapped the DA C24s with a set of Ksyrium SLRs. These are the wheels that were supposed to have come with this bike, but having built it from the frame i never had them before. It's funny because in it's current form, it's really close to what it was supposed to be from the factory, albeit with a cockpit and crank setup that I like more.

was previously at 6.83kg, lost a about 100g with the new wheels - i think mostly due to the lighter mavic skewers. I'm not sold on the ksyriums so far, i might switch back to the C24s as they were just smoother.

Also installed the a set of Zero G20SL from Ciamillo. (see my post in the Road subforum for my experience with those). Came in at 171g for the set. (74g front, 73g rear, 23g for the pad holders no pads).

So a 6.63kg now! I guess its far enough from the 6.8 cutoff that a few tweaks here and there won't accidentally put me back over 6.8

How are you liking the Zero G20SL's? And did you eventually change out the skewers to go even lower?

when we last left off a couple of years ago, it was sitting right at 6.8kg. Full DA9070, rotor 3d cranks with p2m powermeter, 3T cockpit, kalloy uno stem, DA9000 wheels.
I got rid of the g20sl brakes because the DA brakes stopped better, and i got rid of the mavic SLRs because they were too narrow, too noisy, and a bit beatup.




OK, so the supersix goes under the knife again!

I got the frame completely stripped down this time, no BB, no headset, no sanding, just the RD hanger. 785g and 305g for the fork with a bit cut off.

So 1090g is my starting point...

So a few changes to the cockpit. I'm keeping the 3T ergonova team stealth bars, 42cm @ 195g.

The kalloy stem i found a bit too flexy, and i wanted to try something new. I had this old Ritchey C260 sitting around and was surprised it was 110g. I ordered some titanium hardware for it but that'll take a while to arrive but i anticipate around 100g. getting the 3T bars through the hole was a major chore.

I wasn't too hot on the graphics, so a little acetone and they're gone. I rather like the logo is still kinda sorta there, just really faded.

while stripping it down, i noticed the usual bite marks on the handlebar. Looking closely, they appeared to be only as deep as the grip layer. these marks were left by the kalloy uno stem. IIRC my previous 3T stem did not leave any such marks.



The new build is all SRAM AXS with a mix of red and force. Picked up these used aerolink brakes (260g on the scale). Had some sram/swiss stop yellow pads sitting around and popped them in. Not sure if I will leave them in. Some people have noted the yellows eat up rims.
