That is at the top of a climb and it's some type of antenna or something. The whole area there is interesting, it is property that used to belong to a cement factory but they donated it to a local group for mountain bike trails.

You should increase the saddle height on the mtb, you'll get more likes that way

Unlike you I don’t change my saddle height by 3 cm on a whim

I borrowed Ryan's Crux back when he had it built up:
Since he decided that he was too cool for gravel, I got it from him like this:
New parts compared to the Strada: Darimo T2 25mm set back post, Pro Vibe carbon bar (internally routed), MCFK gravel wheels with 35mm TerraSpeeeds, Quarq 110 with 50/34 BOR rings
Zipp stem is temporary while I wait to figure out if I like the 120 -12 or want to change it up. Gotta post it on IG and make sure I get 3 likes for my sponsors though
I'll swap back to my G27s in a few weeks.

can you post a picture of chainring clearance? i have also thought about getting a crux but want to run a quarq dfour w/ compact rings. is that a dub bsa bb w/ just the normal ds 4.5mm spacer?tonytourist wrote: ↑Sat Jun 04, 2022 3:57 amI borrowed Ryan's Crux back when he had it built up:

Sorry, just seeing this. Plenty of clearance, I'll post some later. I have the dub BSA bb with the 3mm outer spacer on the DS. Too bad I sold my DFour Quarqs or I could test fit it for you. I don't see why you'd have any issues.
the official incompatibility with shimano 2x is confusing to me then. like the chainline can't be further out and i can't imagine the chainring bolts protrude any less. i've also seen pictures of finsty running a da 9100 2x crank which they definitely say is incompatible. https://www.instagram.com/p/CbTZZuLv3gU/ i wonder if it is a size specific clearance issue?tonytourist wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 3:32 pmSorry, just seeing this. I honestly have no idea what Specialized is thinking. I had my chain off to swap to another one and snapped some pictures of the clearance, hard to tell from my horrible photos, but there is plenty of room.
Took the Crux up to Northern California for my friends wedding, it was great!

Late reply but is this the stock stem?tonytourist wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 5:41 amLong time no update, a few changes to the fleet have since occurred, but for now I'll update this with my most recent build.
2022 Tarmac SL7
After going back and forth on whether to get the S Works frame and then the shop selling the Jet Fuel color in 54, I decided to carefully examine the geometry chart and realized that while the 54 would still have a decent amount of drop, it would actually have been higher than the Strada was due to the -17 angle I was running, so since Instagram likes are the only metric that really matter to me, I decided to go with a 52 and a 130 -12. I need to weigh this but it's lighter than the Strada so whatever!

It's a 130 12 degree Tarmac stem, I just removed it for a 140.
