Looks great!
What sort of tyre clearance are you getting on this frame?
I see you’re running tubulars so are those 25mm? And how much space to the frame?
I seem to think 23mm is the max but hope I’m wrong, seen one on eBay in my size!

Thanks!
Thank you! :)
I'm running 25mm on the Zipp 404s and they are probably the biggest that will fit on this frame. It is especially tight at the fork where there is only about 1-2mm of space between the top of the tyre and the fork. Meaning anything sticking to the tyre may rub on the fork.
I will get some 25mm tubulars as well as the wider tyres just makes for a much more comfortable and enjoyable ride. :)

Here is some new changes. An Mcfk-stem, 100mm -6 degrees at 89 grams. The Extralite made some marks on the handlebar even though everything was torqued down to spec.. :(

A Recon 11-27t cassette, at 106 grams saving some 87 grams over a Dura Ace 11-28t.

Somehow I missed this topic but great project!

The relaxed geometry of the Cervélo R3 made it difficult to get the proper tilt on the saddle without making the rail clamps look like they sit at an extreme angle. :/ I hope this is safe to ride on?
Image
Have you removed your saddle to check out its rails? That angle of yokes with small contact point looks bad for carbon rails.

I think I adjusted the saddle to a less agressive angle after taking the picture, but the rails are fine. But I also never put weight on the very front of the saddle either.

I took the stock Sram Red 22 rear derailleur and weighed it;

Then I installed some carbon pulley wheels which saved about 12 grams over the stock ones (24 grams);

I also scraped off the paint on the outside part of the inner cage to complete the stealth look;

I find myself wondering if carbon rails and that type of clamp are OK together.

I am not a particular fan of black, but she is a sexy beast.

I have a Look 585 stript bare I just clean and use 303 UV spray on. Converted me to all black, again...

I finally got to take this beast out for a proper test ride in the spring sunshine.

The bike is flexible in all the right places and stiff where it needs to be. The ride is superb!

The Lightweight wheels are stiff and feel super smooth, and the 25mm tyres are super comfortable, and fast!
