Morning all,

Hoping to get some help with any low hanging fruit that i'm missing in lightening up my Supersix please. It's rather porky, and that is in part due to my choice of Powermeter (I didn't realise this at the time of buying!). Hesitent in changing this at the moment simply due to the cost.

Is there anything cheapish that can be changed that i've not thought of? :)

Saddle is the only one that jumps out at me. You should be able to save 100g there for not a lot of money

Thanks very much - Looks like a ALM Ultimate Shallow from Fabric should save me about 126g - Albeit at £200 lol :)

Check out selle san marco saddles. Even their non-carbon railed versions often sit well below 200g

Thanks for the suggestion - I've tried Selle saddles in the past, and unfortuantely i just can't get on with them. :(

Hesitant to move away from Fabric as it's the only brand that doesn't cause me problems :)

Rapha saddles are 144gms for the Pro Team Narrow & fairly cheap if you can get your hands on one.

I'd sell the groupset on ebay, I expect you'd get £150-£200.
Then purchase a SRAM Red 10 speed groupset for around £300.

HYlix 27.2 seatpost also. 160g-180g for £20-£30

I'm taken myself with Fabric saddles, I have the pro carbon at 175g and its very strong, its taken far more abuse than other carbon saddles that I've broken. Prologo, Specialized ETC.

Rear derailleur must match your shifters. Can't change a Shimano for a Sram. Front is fine.

Sounds like the groupo, seatpost and saddle will give me the biggest chunks of weight savings from what people are saying.

Best get working some overtime! :p
