Latest addition, decided I might as well match the hub bearings with BB, so in goes a Ceramic Speed BB, adding about 26g!
Not that a spin test shows anything, but interesting difference between the SRAM DUB and CS DUB

I'm also using a Hylix D-shaped seatpost on my BMC Teammachine SLR01. Absolutely no problems so far and it's a nice 50g savings from the original one. They aren't so pricey like the Darimo ones and the 0mm offset works perfectly for my bike fit. Only thing I had to work out was how to mount the Di2 battery. I just wrapped it in foam and stuffed into the post. How did you mount your Di2 battery?stevec1975 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 06, 2022 3:36 pm@VvM: Yes, used standard Shimano chainring bolts, the 8 x Quarq bolts came installed with the Spider on the original crank.
In other news, the quest to go lighter has continued..
After waiting forever for Darimo to produce an S3 compatible seatpost (which is still coming soon, and has been for 18 months..)
I went for the Hylix one, first impressions are that it is very well made, with Ti Bolts and Carbon Cradle as standard and interchangeable between +3mm and -15mm offset:
Fit is a bit tight, but it got there in the end.
Saving a whopping 42.8 grams..
Bike weight is now 6.62 Kg
Thanks mate. In the meantime my Quarq has arrived and it had the 8 bolts included.stevec1975 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 06, 2022 3:36 pm@VvM: Yes, used standard Shimano chainring bolts, the 8 x Quarq bolts came installed with the Spider on the original crank.
