Curious to which Litespeed frame is the one to get...
The T1Sl is the top tier stiff race bike, right?
What about the Ultimate versus the T3 versus the Xicon?
Litespeed is blowing out new ultimate frames right now. I want to get back onto a Ti frame, but can't find a mosaic or anything cool.
The Litespeed frames look enticing with those 1" chainstays.

Last year when I put a deposit down for a custom build I went with the Ultimate over the T1sl. I'll have more feedback about the two once I get my bars in on Thursday because trying to do A to B testing with one bike having 36cm CTC at the hoods and the other 40 CTC at the hoods is hard.
I think you can't go wrong with the Ultimate. It's 200g heavier than the T1sl but lighter than any other boutique option. I am pretty certain that, at best, the T1sl is only as good as the T3 (and Ultimate) but not better. All of the tube shapes are nearly identical between the T3 and T1sl except the top tube.
With all this being said, and I think this goes for most metal bikes, YMMV when looking at different sized bikes. I ride child sized bikes with massive oversized tubes and my guess is that the smaller the triangle, the stiffer it is.

Also, snapped a quick photo and edited out the spacer stack above the stem:
Baby drop on this bike but it'll have to do to get ride impressions. I don't think I have any -17 140 stems laying around.

Cleaned it up a little and decided that a pro vibe stem would look better:

@oldturd I was mulling keeping both in addition to the Crux and was planning on that path until this morning where I realized that I was getting chainstay rub on the NDS side due to very slightly less tire clearance (like a mm or so, T3 only had 2mm clearance to the stays with 28mm tubs). That would mean I need to go down a tire size and that's the opposite of what I'm trying to do at the moment.
I accomplished what I wanted to with this frame though. It reaffirmed that it doesn't quite ride like my T3. It seems to have slightly more flex in both directions which makes it a hair more comfortable but it doesn't elicit the same sensation when doing an effort.
I also noticed that it was a bit calmer at high speed so I think I need to get a new fork and headset for the T3. The T3 HTA is 73.3 actual now due to the short stack height of the Extralite and it should be 72.5.

How did you measure the new HTA? Just took measures and calculated the sine?

Ryan, are you saying the T1sl has more flex than T3? Or do you mean the other way around? I have the T2 and I am interested in the difference between T1SL, T2, and Ultimate. Dang...! should ve thought you had a cool instrument.
I was just wondering; I swapped headset on a Nevi; lower part went from 2.5 cm to 1.1 (Cane Creek) and always wondered on the new angle (also wondered if Nevi's 72.5° HTA bears in mind their headset). Thanks
