It was like this...

Then it got broken and the repair wasn't the best and neither was the paint restoration.
I decided to totally revamp it.

Now it is like this...

I'll be picking it up in a few days. It will be built with the Shimano Ultegra group and Reynolds Assault wheels which I took off it.

Nice touch with these stripes.

Club colours. I hummed and hawed over it for a while and decided to add them.

Looking good!

Can't go wrong with black, and I wouldn't have gone with those colors for stripes but if it matches your club then it's all good.

I thought about just a couple of white bands at first. Then I thought... anyone can do that... let's make it mine. Now I can never leave the club ;)

The new paint scheme looks great! Better than the original in my opinion

^ Much better than the original paint. The way you did the bars really sets it off.

Heading to pick it up now. This reminds me how I used to feel waking up on Christmas morning.

Putting this shitty group on it feels like a crime. Not pictured are the Ultegra cranks (fugly), Ultegra shifters (not bad, but a bit battered), 3T stem (it is getting a matt lacquer) 3T Dorico setback seat post (getting the same treatment) Carbon Look Keo pedals.

Bottle cages and saddle will have to go at some point. Ideally I'd put Chorus on it, but that will have to wait a while.
