Sorry for the poor photo... some things never change...

This is my first "modern" bike... a COLNAGO V4RS (size 51) wide tires, disc brakes, di2 and all...

By no means finished... still waiting on bars and other bits & pieces.

Until the bike build is finally done, will I post the build specification details

Total weight here is 6.48kg, (colnago size 51)

hope this finds everyone well and in the pink of health! Ride safe!

It was a tough choice .... I didn't like the current colour offerings of the c68... and wanted a do it all kind of bike...as my "first" bike back

The c68 is definitely on my lists of bikes to get... but fingers crossed, they will come out with a paint scheme I like (mapei 😬)

There's a link to the English for more photos in my earlier pages... might start a new thread Bely 2.0

Agreed. The paint schemes are somewhat lacking at the moment, plus Colnago Studio probably has the most limited colour options or any of the "custom" paint configurators out there.

The only colourway that's caught my eye would be the Motoki Yoshio limited edition, but I'm not paying retail for the Campag gruppo and wheelset.

@Bely, Congratulations on the V4Rs. I have one in Stealth Black/Gunmetal Gray. I am liking mine so far.

It's all downhill from here, except for the uphills.

If anyone still has his old Field cycles and wants to send it to the US for safe keeping, let me know!!!

from what I remember, the previous bikes were almost entirely, if not all, Campa equipment. Now is it time for Shimano?

Although I am a big fan and advocate for campy....From my limited understanding...

1) Current Shimano di2 is apparently more robust
2) lighter
3) maintenance and spares are easily found
4) I really didn't like the "camcorder" looking FD for the new campy EPS...
5) no thumb shifters?
6) mind numbing price premium over dura Ace (does come to play when multiple bikes are the intention)

My rim brake bikes are still on campy sr12 speed mechanical and campy sr12 speed wired eps
