Your stack/reach requirements do look like a 58 or thereabouts.
What are you after? A bike that is a rolling Top Trumps winner with T1000 tubes, sub 800g weight and a dental bill to match? Or do you want a bike you can ride all day that is comfortable, fast & well mannered and leaves your teeth intact? I know which I prefer. My frame is moe than 5 years old and there are lighter options open to me. Yet I have no notion of replacing it.
Just email De Anima and ask them what the coup is. I’ve known them for nigh on 20 years. No nonsense guys.

I never fit a 58; generally 61 or XL as I have a saddle ht. of 855.
I want a swiss army knife! Climbs, holds a line on descent, rolls well on diverse terrain. On larger bikes I find that the front end gets soft; maybe a result of larger HT and steerer? Not sure. For reference, I ordered a Canyon Endurace SLX w/eTap in an XL. Perfect fit. Super light, stiff BB & rear end, front end was very flexy. Sent it back yesterday.
I'd like to shoot for ~17# complete.

Sounds like the weight loss Canyon achieved was at the expense of front end rigidity.sfo423 wrote:I never fit a 58; generally 61 or XL as I have a saddle ht. of 855.

Well, finally built up. Almost.
Needs fettling and then bar tape.
Wheels are demo Cosmic Pro Carbon SL UST. Set up tubeless. We’ll see if that works.

Having planned to update to 12 speed Dura Ace, I thought I'd take the opportunity to spruce up the Unblended.
Once I have some fresh Veloflex Corsa 25s I'll swap to Ksyriums. Alloy will have to do for the time being.

By Ksyrium I meant Pro Carbon SL USTs I had on before. They currently have 28s which are a smidge tight. Actually they catch the front mech clamp!mrfish wrote:Looking good. Why not some low profile carbon rims? Admittedly something like Boras isn't lighter than Aluminium rims but does look better and is a touch faster.

This better? I have a new carbon front mech clamp that should allow me to fit 28s. We will see tomorrow.
