Is anybody using Shimano M8100 12 speed shifter and derailleur with SRAM 12 speed 10-50 cassette?

The sprocket spacing is different by a fraction of a mm but if it is like 11 speed (I have Shimano 11 with SRAM 11), which works without any problems. It should be OK.

I'm running a Shimano cassette with my AXS GX shifter and rear dealleur, 12 speed, and it shifts great. On a Specialized Stumpjumper.

That's good to know.
Data I have is the difference in distance between sprockets is 2.8%, or 1.1mm across the full range of sprockets. If the mech is set up so it is perfectly aligned in the centre of the cassette, the largest and smallest sprocket would not be more than 0.5mm out.

I have SRAM SX 12 speed but looking to replace it by Shimano XT as minimum, SRAM X01/XX1 is way too expensive.

Well it didn't work for me. Chain skipping on some sprockets and would miss a sprocket at the big sprocket end. After half an hour I gave up.
SRAM parts back on, a morning wasted. Have to say that the SRAM shifter feels better though.

Originally had SX shifter and GX mech, tried to replace with XTR shifter and XT mech.

As it's weight weenies, here are some actual weights.
SX shifter 115g
GX mech 300g
XTR shifter 116g
XT mech 283g
