Anyone tried this combo out? The new PM is both much lighter and much cheaper than the old one - hopefully they institute this design for road too.
Any feedback?
30mm axle isn't exactly ideal for the mostly BSA73 MTBs, but Hambini, Token and WhiteInd do ones with 6806 which ain't too bad.

I decided to buy one during the BF sales. Won't have it in my hands until Feb though.
Anyone else heard what the provenance of the PM is on this? Supposedly it's Chinese, and not in-house developed as per the gen1. If true, I'd view this as a good thing, as it significantly increases the likelihood that it's reliable and accurate, unlike the gen1.

Finally installed it. Quick ride around the city, power numbers look and feel broadly correct without a calibration. Unlike the V1 MTB and current road which are a joke. One oddity is it seems to always show 5 sec pwr even though I have it set to display 3s. Never had this with another PM. Haven't been able to get the Rotor app to work yet so not sure if something can be changed there.
Rotor's recommendations for spacers were miles off on the cranks - far too many. They also failed to include chainring bolts despite them being supposed to be included - and you need 8.5mm rather than standard 6.5mm ones. The Rotor manuals are terrible too.
Could very well be more to do with the Rotor Q ring (vs Garbaruk oval) vs the crank and axle themselves, but the setup feels a lot stiffer than the XT (with Sigeyi) prior setup. Looks great too.

Got their app to work. Or 'work'. It's completely useless. Data it displays isn't anywhere close to Garmin / Strava etc. They don't seem to be able to read their own data. Also the firmware update feature is brilliant ... you can update it infinitely. If you check for an update it will automatically update it even if you are on the same version - or at least I assume that's what it's doing. Also there's no record anywhere of what the latest firmware is for the MTB InSpider V2 either online or in app, so no clue if this is actually latest.
