I have to get some light cranks, I'm undecided between xx1, rotor kapic carbon or etherteen xcx, I need them to be light but at the same time stiff and resistant?
Any suggestion? There are other options?

me too. Looks massive in size but light Use mine with a Garbaruk chainring and works great.

interested to see where you land as I've avoided buying a really light set of cranks with durability being a top concern. I will say when doing this exercise it's important to take into account the bb for your bike & crank protection for the total weight.

I think XX1 DUB is the best available if weight is the highest priority. XCX isn't any lighter with the 30mm bottom bracket and it's only rated for XC. Rotor has no obvious advantages. eeWings are preferable if you don't mind adding 50g to go from great durability to stellar.

Regular XX1 Dub is the best overall choice for 170 and 175mm length.
However, it is not available in 165mm (it used to, but production stopped). So if you need 165mm you have to sidegrade to Quarq XX1 crank arms. Quarq XX1 crank arms use 8 bolt interface so regular 3-bolt Sram direct mount chainring doesn't fit. I use Alugear 8 bolt chainring on mine.

The resulting Quarq XX1 + Alugear chainrings weight about 12 grams more than straight up regular XX1 combo. Just a bit of hassle for 165mm length.

Why hasn't Raceface Next SL been mentioned? That's the default light crank in my area. I have a few of them spanning multiple generations. I thought they're lighter than XX1.
