That is why you use Shimano chain + cassette with SRAM rear derailleur and shifter

I have not found any xo pages. Not sure if they will be released at the same time or not. Only XX SL and XX.

If there's XX SL, it probably means there will be Red SL too.

When I read the descriptions, I get a feeling, that only XX-SL has the new hangerless design. This is not mentioned with XX groupset.

XX-SL
The pinnacle of cross-country cycling performance can be found in the new XX SL T-Type Eagle AXS Transmission Groupset. Built to serve the most demanding rider’s needs in the lightest weight configuration, XX SL Transmission is the evolution of our World Champion, World Cup winning XX Eagle AXS. The new XX SL T-Type Eagle Transmission derailleur is more robust thanks to our hangerless interface and features familiar technologies like our overload clutch and AXS pairing process.

XX
With the perfect balance of robustness and weight savings, the XX T-Type AXS Transmission groupset has the strength to handle big enduro days with the weight to make it manageable. Our all-new Transmissions take a holistic approach to a bicycles shifting, an entire system synchronized, providing you with a superior ride experience. Shifting under load is made possible on the XX cassette due to a combination of X-SYNC technology and cassette mapping, creating seamless shifts even during your hardest power output.

XO groupset was told 1599$ in VitalMTB forum, but I have not found any links of that.

If you are not willing to pay for the SRAM components, why not use a full Shimano groupset then?

Because some of the SRAM features like AXS, cage lock or even grip shift, are not offered by Shimano. And SRAM derailleurs work really well with Hyperglide+ cassettes and chains, so best of both worlds really is possible.

If you want electronic shifting on a 12sp MTB, you have to use SRAM. Like js said, the clutch is also better than Shimano.

Nothing wrong with a full Shimano MTB groupset, the XTR shifter is very satisfying, and overall quality on the Deore/SLX level is a lot higher than SRAM
