Is it possible to get Duke wheels in the US? Having trouble finding a distributor
You can try to ask dukenorthamerica@gmail.com

https://www.duke-racingwheels.com/find- ... r/?lang=en
Duke Racing Wheels North America Los Altos, CA 94022 650-492-9633 dukenorthamerica@gmail.com
Duke Racing Wheels North America Montréal, QC, Canada 650-492-9633 dukenorthamerica@gmail.com
Thanks. I sent them an email and will report back on what I hear.

I would go with r2 bike for Duke in the US. Very reliable, and you don't pay taxes on them.
Have you used r2 to order Duke in the US? I looked into it and it said that shipping to the US wasn't available for all of the products that I tested including several wheelsets.

I used r2 for all of the pieces of the above wheelset (extralite hubs and Berg rims, and at the time I had the option to chose Duke rims as well) to be delivered in NY state

Strange. Every Duke wheel or rim I look at says "We can't deliver this item to your chosen country"

Honestly, I'm such a huge fan of the Roval Control SL's. I used them a bunch in Whistler last year and had no issues. The front hub design is a little strange with how you access the bearings but otherwise they're excellent. I had no durability issues at all. I think the regular Non-SL's might not be quite as light but the extra spokes and 350 hubs would be great.

Nonplus Boost hubs
Berd Spokes
Duke SLS4 Ultra rims
Nice, very nice. How do you like those nonplus hubs?

@F45, actually i make wrong calc of Berd spokes length, and cant truining wheelset with Nonplus hubs.

But for my luck i get Extralite HyperBoost and rebuild wheels with it with same Berd Spokes.

Btw, new Extralite hubs (MY22+) already has rounded flange holes and you dont need to use special tangential metallic rings with Berd spokes and straight Extralite hubs. In result assembly is pretty easy and dont require special tools and toolkits from Berd. Another one advantage - you can use DTSwiss spoke calculator for this combination(Extralite Straight hubs and Berd Spokes).

My truined build in result:

This is a great wheelset!

I would be interested to build the same actually. :) What is the length of the Berd spokes?
Rims are the new Duke Lucky Jack SLS4 or Duke Lucky Jack Ultra SLS4 ones?

Thanks! :)

EIE has a new 30mm rim at 285g.

https://www.eiecarbon.com/goods/details/A29C30D20

A typical DT240 28/28 CX-Ray build would be about 1175g and $1200 or so. Bitex on Pillar spokes is $750 and only about 100g heavier.

929g is amazing. But too bad about those nonplus hubs; it's hard finding people who own them!

Have been looking at the Elite Wheels Pro29er Pro36 with DT Swiss 350s $939 USD ~1486g. Is there something that would be worth spending an extra $200 or so for some improvement.
Looking for a 28-30mm inner to run 2.4 for XC racing but also trail riding in rocky terrain.

Sound like the best price to weight out there.
I think I may get SL rim instead of UL rim though. To make it a bit tougher.
I don't love their hub selection listed on their website. That Bitex is a but heavy, Dt Swiss is a bit expensive. Wish there are Chinese house brand hubs that are both light and cheap.

I'm very keen on a pair of 27-30mm light carbon rims for a new build (to compensate for heavy Onyx Hubs on a weight weenie build).

Narrowed down to
BTLOS M-i27AL
Nextie Wave Premium
Or the EIE above is a late addition and very competitive in price.

I want to stick with something with 100+kg for weight limit for robustness.

Any reviews/recommendations?

So for carbon wheels, looking at Lightbicycle, nextie and Duke. I want 30 internal, seems to be the modern standard with 1400-1500gr for DT240 hubs. Whats the way to go and whats to avoid? Duke seems nice but also adds quite a bit of cost.
