My friend's Cannondale Scalpel 29 (size L). Probably the world 's lightest.Have to admit, that is weird.
The construction has not completed yet, his goal is to reach under 6.5kg. The wheelset is overweight. Trickstuff piccola brake, Grigio Carbonio wheelset with Berd Spokes are on there way.

This wasn't a light frame but the owner conducted some modifications.
A DT Swiss X313 carbon shox, reduced 79g
A carbon link rod, maybe some kind of prototype from a bike show, reduced 78g.
Scraped off the paint, removed some metal parts in the frame, and finally polished it with wax, incredibly reduced 170g
Titanium bolts of course.
Final weight: 1730g. Only 90g heavier than UNNO

What rotors are those? These don't look like SiCCC. Also, Gullholm's Spark without pedals should be the same weight wise. Still, this is quite awesome.

Handlebar: Darimo 700mm (84g)
Stem: Extralite Ultrastem (74g)
Seatpost: Darimo 31.6X290mm (78g)
Seat Clamp: Carbonice EVA (4.5g)
Saddle: Gelu K1 (47g)
Tyre: Maxxis Maxxlite 29 (336+338g)
Tube: Tubolito S-Tubo MTB (47+45g)
Pedals: Aerolite CLA (59g) Due to the size of frame, we chose a shorter seatpost. Theoretically Gelu K3 is the lightest saddle in market, but it is not recommended for MTB.

Gelu K1 is the mtb sister of Gelu K3 which has holes in it
K3 is for road use only.

Cannondale sells a carbon link ref number KP207/CRB for the Scalpel 29er frame, this carbon version weights about 105g shaving 85g from the stock alloy version.SRICarbonWorks wrote: ↑Wed Mar 28, 2018 6:58 amThis wasn't a light frame but the owner conducted some modifications.

Weight updating
7.16kg,with Leonardi 9-36T 11 speed cassette, saved 32g (Though sacrificed some performance)

I'm curious if this bike got used for a full season and if the parts were kept the same. The build seems more appropriate for a hardtail that is ridden gently on smooth trails so why bother with FS and its weight? Did the bike end up working well on terrain that dictates suspension?
When I started a similar project I quickly decided to take some big weight hits so that the overall package was fun and fast going up or down on the roughest terrain. My Spark RC size XL with 5" dropper post weighs 9.04 - 9.27kg depending on tires.
