I also have 2021 sid sl ultimates on my sworks epic evo. Zero issues with mine. I have thousands of miles on them and aside from the periodic servicing they require nothing.

In fact, my experience with these shocks was eye-opening. After years of riding Fox I was absolutely astonished at how much better the RockShox perform. Barring some major changes I don't think I'll ever buy another Fox shock.

The fact that more than one unit maxed out at the same pressure seems suspicious to me. Are you certain your shock pump/gauge is working correctly?

Yup. Shock pump is fine. Tested it on my other SIDs and did 130 with no issues.

That is some crazy bad luck to get 2 units with the same problem. What do they say about it? Maybe ask them to upgrade you to a current one since you've gotten two bad ones?

So. I left the forks sit overnight at the 105psi in an upright position.

And by magic. They now take more pressure.

Not confidence inspiring I must say

Do you pump the fork while pumping in air for the first time until you reach the desired pressure?

Nope. Pump. Remove. Cycle the fork. Pump again.

You are supposed to do that, so maybe start with that.

i did that, and it didn't hold pressure.

i let it sit overnight in an upright position, then tried again next day. still no pressure.

regardless, i've returned it.
