Specialized Tarmac SL8 Seatpost 350mm Setback
Hi all, I have a spare 350mm seatpost for the SL8. Came with my frameset, but turns out I need the 300mm seatpost to get my battery to fit (weird quirk of the SL8). Not even installed. Retails for $250. Asking $175 shipped. CONUS only, please. https://i.ibb.co/HH9rhHZ/IMG-8623.jpg https://i.ibb.co/P...

Re: Continental GP5000 AS TR (winter road tire)
Does anybody know if these are compatible with ENVE rims? The product description says this'll work with hookless, but they're not listed on the official compatibility chart. I emailed Conti, and they said to email their distribution for the answer. I emailed their distributor, and they said to emai...

Re: 2023 new Tarmac SL8 rumor
Hey, thank you! I really appreciate the thoughtful reply. I'm just going to hold off and take it to my LBS. I did try to apply a fair amount of torque earlier and it wouldn't budge, so I'm scared to push it further at this point without a professional's guidance. Luckily my local mechanic is quite c...

Re: 2023 new Tarmac SL8 rumor
Well, here's a really weird one - my front thru axle won't go back in! I've owned my SL8 for about two months now. In that time period, I've removed my front wheel only once to change a flat tire. No issues. Today, I took the front wheel off for the second time. Came off with no issues. However, wh...

Best winter tires for ENVE hookless wheels?
Hey y'all, I'm looking for a winter tire to pair with my ENVE 3.4 (hookless variant). My bike (an SL8) can take up to 32mm tires and I think I'd like to use all of that clearance! ENVE compatibility chart looks pretty limited in terms of winter tires. For those of you rocking ENVE wheels, what are y...

Re: 2023 new Tarmac SL8 rumor
Do you guys know if the Reserve 40/44 wheels will fit the SL8? The front wheel has an ED of 33mm, which is pretty dang wide. I'd like to be able to run 31-32 WAM tires and still have aero benefit. I'm guessing should be possible since the SL8 can accommodate 32 WAM tires.

Re: 2023 new Tarmac SL8 rumor
Does anybody have a pic of how the SL8 looks with shallow rims?
I'm thinking of picking up a pair of LB AR25s as climbing wheels and am wondering how the combo will look—can't tell if it'll be awkward or not juxtaposed with the tube shapes.

Re: CarbonTi CarboRing EVO Shifting Performance
Do you think a chain catcher is necessary on a DA9200 groupset?
I just put together a bike with a DA9200 groupset. Formerly was using DA9100 (Di2) and never had a single problematic mis-shift. But in the same boat here—don't want to accidentally drop a chain and wreck a $5k frameset.

Re: 2023 new Tarmac SL8 rumor
Just picked up my Dune White SL8 from the mechanic yesterday. Had a few odd things happen throughout the build: 1. I had the seatpost issue (size 54 frameset was delivered with a 380mm seatpost, but I needed the 300mm given my saddle height and desire to use Di2—as such, I had to order a 300mm). Pre...

Re: My adventures in chain waxing: goals, reviews, suggestions...
Awesome. Thanks, guys. With the top up lube, will wiping with a microfiber between rides + boiling water be enough to clean it prior to anotheor waxing?

Re: My adventures in chain waxing: goals, reviews, suggestions...
For those of you who use MSW:
Are there any "top up lubes" that you use in between waxing, similar to Silca's system (melt wax in Super Secret, then top up with their drip-based lube between waxings)?

Wow, brutal. Guess I'll be plopping down another $250 for the 300mm seatpost haha. Thanks, guys.

Re: 2023 new Tarmac SL8 rumor
Oh god, I didn't even think about the seatpost issue for the Di2 battery. I just dropped off my bike with the builder and am wondering if I'm going to need to tell him to pause on the build. I have a saddle height of 700 and a size 54 frameset (based on specs, 473mm seat tube length). The 54 framese...
