Re: 2024 Pro thread

Terrible few days. Now, Arnaud De Lie is diagnosed with Lyme Disease. I hope the treatment has improved enough that he can be back to 100% this season.

Re: 2024 Pro thread

It was going to be a two man race and who knows what coulda been. A lot of time was gained by MVP when WVA was trying to force Trek to pull him back. Looked like the slowest point of the race for a while. So many attacks and counters it was a fun watch. MVP attacked so many times it was nuts.

Re: 2024 Pro thread

he looked like he recovered ok today.
I hate to admit it but there was a moment where Kuss added some ammo to the bike motors in Visma conspiracy. It was when he attacked from the group and caught Landa.

Re: 2024 Pro thread

hope they all can stay healthy after that stage. They went deep and froze.
an extremely strong ride, again, by Pog and what he did to force IPT to pull was old school awesome.
strong showing by Landa too. I assume he came to win overall.

Re: 2024 Pro thread

He was reaching down towards his front derailuer while descending in the top 5. His poor descending was from him trying to fix his issue.

Re: 2024 Pro thread

I felt bad for Ganna - made it over the top of Poggio in the top 15, only to be let down by his drive train. I'm pretty confident that his presence in the final group out on the flats would have changed the dynamic, and perhaps also the result. He is a strong sprinter in a situation like MSR, as ev...

Re: 2024 Pro thread

One thing to add to that is MVP may be the best lead out man of all time. I know MSR wasnt exactly a leadout but it kinda was.

Re: 2024 Pro thread

Pidcock looked really good on the descent and seemed to actually get blocked by MVP at a couple of spots. Lost a lot of speed a few times. His attack on the final looked good but was just a little too soon. @MichaelK --- Pog got hit by Matthews' sunglasses that flew off in the sprint. Dont think Pog...

Re: 2024 Pro thread

Doesnt a team that pays more but offers less, and a team that pays less but offers more, just equal out. At that point its just a personality decision. I think Movistar seems legit. Without Valverde's contract going on for so long they would probably have another big name in there. In any case, Im h...

Re: 2024 Pro thread

The fact that no team has ever won Paris Nice and Tirenno Adriatico at the same time, until now, is significant. MJ has looked absolutely awesome this year. He will be a major factor for WVA too.

Re: 2024 Pro thread

VingeGOOOOOOOOOOO! has been very impressive so far. There seems to be an extra confidence that is confirming he is more than just a Tour rider. I keep thinking that cycling has a real spoil of riches right now. MVP, Remco, Pogi, Vingegoooo, Primo, WVA, and a number of others that are more than capab...
