Re: Roval Rapide Cockpit
Posting this again because the included headset bolt looks just that bad. ----- Heads up for anyone moving to the 1 piece cockpit, the top cap and bolt couldn't been designed better as the top cap bolt stands proud of the aero top cap itself. Re: Camera Mounts and Assorted 3D Printed Parts
Printed a few bike related things today. 1.) A bontrager light storage strip. New bike room in progress! 2.) A few Bottom Bracket removal bits, one with a 3/8" socket mount to remove a chainring from my RaceFace cinch crankset. Pics! https://i.imgur.com/Zzr9LCw.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Mb0A6wk.jpg ht...

Re: Enve 1 Piece Cockpit
Jeeesh had to make sure my $$ units were in USD and not something else. That's a crazy price even for Enve.

Very nice quality print here! https://www.magcad-designs.com/products/magcad-garmin-gopro-roval-rapide-mount Looks good and I really love how they moved the GoPro mount back. Agreed on the repositioning as nice to have. I was initially scept...

Re: Roval Rapide Cockpit
All wrapped up with running a new brake line, brake bleed, bars wrapped. 15.81lbs all in w/o the MegaCAD Garmin/GoPro mount that is on the way. Really happy with the position compared to the Alpinist cockpit on my crux. Pics! https://i.imgur.com/q9z4Ptq.jpg https://i.imgur.com/AUySccw.jpg https://i....

Re: Roval Rapide Cockpit
I decided to take matters into my own hands with a drill and metal file. It took 5-10 minutes, but I have it flush. Next step is to touch up the exposed silver areas with some metal bluing or black paint. Pics: https://i.imgur.com/idB9W0N.jpg https://i.imgur.com/NByIkqO.jpg https://i.imgur.com/JXj2X...

Re: Roval Rapide Cockpit
My SL7 (2020 pro) topcap bolt head is the same diameter as the one that came with the Rapide Cockpit.
11.85mm acorrding to my calpier.
From the looks of it, an 8mm diameter head would clear the overlap, but I can't seem to find one.

Re: Roval Rapide Cockpit
Alright gang, what is the solution for the Rapide top cap bolt sticking up?
Smaller diamter bolt head?
I still can't believe they released this with that protruding up like that. They could have easily dropped the indent on the headset cap another 2mm.

Re: Camera Mounts and Assorted 3D Printed Parts
3D printer to the rescue once again for a small bike related maintenance task. 5 minute design (square with a round whole through it, cut it in half, 10 minute print and I now have a solution for removing old SRAM Barb/Olives from their hoses without forcing me to cut them. Success today with this c...

Re: Camera Mounts and Assorted 3D Printed Parts
Printing some wall mounted double wheel hangers today. https://i.imgur.com/3kRcO69.png Print worked out great. Next revision might put a little more space between the wheels so the orientation of spokes/cassette/brake rotors doesn't have to be so precise. Also, half as thick would be fine with pre-d...

Re: Bike work stand mounted from the ceiling?
It's a 2 position locking hinge with grooves up and down so it locks into place. The spring on the side of the hinge releases the ears and lets the arm slide down and snaps back into the other position.
I bought it here.

Re: Bike work stand mounted from the ceiling?
Finally got this put together after some time looking for a flip down solution to work between our basement floor joists. Pretty handy to have and swing up and out of the way when not using. A furniture leg hinge rated for 120 lbs, Foundation Bike Bench Workstand clamp/end, and some 1-1/2" pipe with...
