Re: NEW Trek Emonda ALR 2023

Thomson X2 and Pro PLT stems are available in 10 degrees...with a 120mm stem that would be about an 8mm drop from as 6 degree stem. Cool, thanks for the heads up. I guess when the stem gets long (I'm using a 130mm) the angle makes a ton of difference. If my trig is right, a -17° stem is 24mm lower ...

Re: Bross Zenith

The only truly comfortable fat tubed aero bike is the Madone Gen6. Aeroad to some extent. I rode a Foil briefly ... it didn't feel comfy. S5 was worse still. Some people cite the C2 Koko ... it was the worst of all the above. People acting surprised that this might not be very comfortable ... what ...

Re: Van Rysel 2023

Regarding the frame sizes I have questions marks. The RCR frame is for the "normal standard European" men with a height of 180cm exactly between two sizes. The one is too small in the Stack and the other is too long in the reach. I don´t understand this decision. Other brands make frames which are ...

Re: Venge to Tarmac sl8 , upgrade or not?

The typical Specialized customer is pretty funny. No matter what bike they get, they repeat what they read - how great this bike is (because they're told it is) But one could say the same for pretty much any $6,000 frameset. How many, aftering buying a new Colnago C68, would post that it's a piece ...

Here we go again, a few days later and yet another hookless tire blowoff on Lotto/Zipp. Wonder how big the rock was this time haha.

On a side note, dealing with the now contaminated rotor/pads should be fun too.

Re: Hookless and updated ISO Standards - Thomas De Gendt Crash

If a small hole in the tire would appear and not being sealed fast enough, it might be enough for the pressure to go low and create a gap between tire and rim and then the tire might slide off. Or the tire deform and fold. Lab testing praise and fine words - I still don't think you can warrant anyth...

Re: Caliper for wide rim

EE will probably do what you ask. Atleast mine does. Do you have lots of room between the rim and the brake pads? I did ride 28mm brake track rims and it was no rub when sprinting. So question is, what is lots of room exactly and why do you need that? What rims are you using and are you sure it's n...

Re: Caliper for wide rim

Hello, Would any of you be able to recommend a rim caliper that would work with a 30mm external width wheel set? The internal width is 23mm and I will run GP5000 S TR 28mms with them. As of now I have Ultegra 8100 calipers with SwissStops Evo, but it's really tight. Thanks a lot! EE will probably d...

Re: Changing gearing when changing crank length

Well, a 52T is harder to push than a 48T. I have been using 48, 50 and 52T and i would say it's a big jump going for a 52T. If torque through longer crankarm really is a deal, then i would say that 52T will feel really heavy. Just look at this, how would your cassette equalize the resistance. What w...
