Floyd Landis on a Pegoretti

A little insider information: This was a secret project done as a gift to Floyd. Word is Dario refused to do a "Kid Rock" paint theme (for obvious reasons). You'll probably see more of this bike, and it's rider in the near future in a few magazines.

It's a custom Love #3 done in an gloss white that almost looks like a laquered egg-shell. The text is in a plain black. One of my favorite quotes on the frame reads "How is it possible to have a civil war?"

Because he hasn't been paid by the TDF. And probably never will be. And a good chunk of his money is going towards a defense against a charge that has yet to be proven. See here

Not if the test was flawed. And if the test wasn't flawed, then something else in the process might have been. Given the negative test the day before and the day after, the lab and/or WADA need to come up with an explanation for how Landis could metabolize testosterone way faster than any human.

Reliable scientific data is not just precise and/or accurate data: it is also data that fits the context within which it's being considered. Given the context of three drug control samples, three days in a row, the positive testosterone test on day 2 does not fit the context. That would raise a red flag for any reputable scientist.

If I treated it badly maybe it would look like shet. But I've seen lotsa frames with 3x that mileage that still look good.

The guy's been a pro cyclist for several years. You'd think he'd have a few decent groups and frames and wheels lying around.

They are grossly overworked and underpaid compared to other major sports. Can't the guy get a nice bike as a gift?? You really think he doesn't deserve it??
