just finished putting together swift carbon neurogen TT bike with shimano da 7900 (16.4 lbs)

is there anyway of adjusting the bar end shifter such that when riding in 11 or 12 rear gear, the bar end does NOT point straight down to the ground..........but points straight out??? I've screwed around long enough with the internals, need some expert advice. thanks

I've not got any experience of messing with the internal parts of these shifters. But previous experience of both DA and Sram TT shifters is that this is just how they work. If you require the shifters to be level with the ground I think the easiest option would be the Sram return to centre shifters. Or indeed an electronic setup.

Zipp makes a shimano compatible R2C shifter.

In short.......no. the lever requires the whole range of movement to cover the gear range.
You could invert them so the lever is pointing up and slightly backwards, that's about it.
