Weird- Mine booted up easily on 25mm internal LB rims. Held air really well.

Weird, for me I have been struggling getting them to hold air (tubeless) on ENVE G23. I had terraspeed 40's on the G23's w/o any issue prior. Will remove, clean up and probably add second layer of tape to see if it helps. Been awhile since I had any issues with a tubeless setup (12+ pair of various tires/wheels)..

Please report how these SW versions hold up. I've been on 38mm Pathfinder Pros since they have been released. Best gravel tire I've ever used. I wonder if they will release a 38mm SW. That would be awesome, especially if they could get them sub 400g.

It is odd, maybe just an anomaly.. Seams to be holding air after redoing everything plus a second layer of rim tape..

So, I don't guess anyone here is in a position to know what tires Colin Strickland was running at Mid South?
Strickland religously rides Pathfinder 42s. And in at least one photo I can recognize the tread pattern ...and to me the tread looks thinner than Pro, but impossible to tell for sure.
He always runs gumwalls so that's not a useful clue, but they are gumwall.
In photos the Mid South surface looks really, really tame in terms of flat hazards if not mud (I'm happy to be corrected, never done it), and so it is the kind of venue he might choose to run S-works on.... and he had "multiple flats."
It would be really, really unsual to have multiple flats on standard Pathfinder Pro on a tame surface. Two is guess is "multiple" and that's possible on a super bad day.
Delaney was definitely on the S-Works versions and had a fast day, finishing high overall and hitting his goal of winning his 40-49 age group ...and by a comfortable margin of 16 minutes. So he likley had zero issues and pretty clearly wasn't slowed by the tires.

Over the last 3 days I rode my S Works Pathfinders on a real variety of surfaces. ~10 hours. Great on the road, good to great on most gravel including chunk (64-65 kg ~30 PSI 25mm internal rims.
Only place they were so-so was in depp-ish sand. But I powered through and pretty much nothing is great in deep sand.

Only place they were so-so was in depp-ish sand. But I powered through and pretty much nothing is great in deep sand.

Ditto results for 28 mile of road, 3 miles hardpack and medium gravel (12mm-40mm) at @30.5 psi on gravel, 50psi road, same width rims.

Quick 90 min spin on these today.

Sand, hardpack, sloppy mud, gravel, tarmac.

They roll lovely on the road, but for me, hardpack with light gravel is where they shine.

Not the straightline speed, but the turn in. Where the tyre leans in and goes from slick to knobs, it's marvellous. Very smooth transition and predictable. Not squirmy at all.

Still need to play around with pressure (32R & 30F, 88kg on 24mm ID), felt a little bit harsh.

First reviews sound great, I'll probably get some once I wear out my Michelin Power Gravels.

I was even thinking of using them for Paris-Roubaix which I'm due to ride soon.

I am still on my trip. My rear Pathfinder seems to be loosing much of it air overnight. Tough to diagnose/fix on the road as I don't want to pull apart, re-tape, re-Stans. etc.
But it seems to be holding air through the course of my ride. And no obvious punctures, thorns, sealant spots, etc. Easier to go with it than stress over it.

Ah, I'm glad they addressed this. That transition is the worst part about the regular (pro?) Pathfinders, I just couldn't get used it it. I stuck them on my commuter and am reminded how spooky they are every time I turn into the driveway for work.

Maybe the s-works version is worth a look.
