I'd like something where dirt and mud doesn't get into my mouth.

Have they changed the rules?
Used to be no bottles unless the temperature was higher than 15 degrees (?).

Unless you mean for gravelly type stuff, then you'll need to find a bottle with a cover. I've used a camelback chute in the past, might be a bit fiddly to pop it off while riding though.
