Flat mount discs - worth the wait and cost?

Main disadvantage of flat mount is heat management. Placing caliper directly on fork/ chainstay isn't best idea, to be very kind for this "innovation". you can... oops- you MUST use rotors with cooling fins, and pads with heat despatchers...

Reason for UCI approval on road for 160/160 wasn't for neutral service. Was for heat - lower level on bigger rotors.

If one must have disc brakes on road bike... there's nothing wrong with post mount. I would take it any time over flat mount.
