Light tubeless alloy cx rims for disk brake?

The spirit of Grav-lo-cross. No but seriously, cyclocross and gravel go here!

As the title says... There seems to be some LIGHT alloy wheels, but can't seem to find some for tubeless and disk brakes. I'd thought making the rims without braking tracks could make them lighter but I don't see many offerings.

Any rims to suggest?

Thanks!

Look for 29er XC MTB rims - 350-380 grams is about right. Notubes Crest, Notubes Race Gold, FRM XMD333, BOR XMD333, various other options.

I believe they are now discontinued but you might still be able to pick up some Stans Alpha 340 of 400 disc versions, or another 29er rim is the WTB i19, not super-light but with the right hubs and spokes can be a built into a pretty light wheel set, i think the FRM /BOR XMD's are about the lightest option 29er rim.

You can make a light set of alloy wheels for disc brakes- but then you have to ride them.
Seriously, I remember riding wheels like this in the early days of 29'ers. Wheels made with Stans rims- weights in the 1400 gram range or even lower in the case of the Stans Gold wheels.
But these wheels were/are ghetto. Hubs are crap and rims are flexy.

I wouldn't run Stans Alpha 340 on a CX disc. They're built to be light, but aren't that tough. 400's should be fine. As Grover said, look at XC wheels. bigger range and tend to be cheaper. I run Race Face MTB wheels on my cross.

Industry Nine. 1500 grams but will perform.

If your frame handles 27'5/ 650B wheels, you can use these with wider tires

http://www.notubes.com/Crest-MK3-C211.aspx

They handle 11 speed road cassette.

So does these two, (PRO 4 hubs handles 11 speed road cassette) here you can use both 27'5 (same as 650B) and 29' (same as 700C)

If you go all in you should buy these...

Pro version has better bearings, better spokes and faster engagement ratchet mech.

Try the American Classic Race 29er. The weigh about 1450grams and have an internal width of 24. They got a great review in cxmagazine.com.
