Can anyone throw a bit of light on the sizing of Canyon carbon and alu frames? I am roughly 177cm which puts me on a size 54 (but nearly a 56). But the stem on the 54 is a tiny 75mm (and a 170 crank) whereas the 56 comes with a 90mm stem (and a 172.5 crank which I am used to).

Should I go a 54 and get a sensible stem, or get a 56? Any comments from Canyon owners out there?
My round? I bought a round last year....

I thought exactly the same as you , 70-80mm stem seems really odd!
I would ignore that and concentrate on buying the size that offers you the right top tube length and play with stem length after.
You need to ask kuiper for advice on this, he's your man!

Well I hope the customer service improves real soon, as I have a fork recall to deal with and they have been so slow to deal with. I do now know I wish I would have stayed with a more prominant dealer/manufacturer as the problems you have are dealt with right away. The problem might stem because I am in the USA, anyway I am ordering a ISP today. Anyone looking for a new Canyon..it will be listed in the sell forum shortly.

On the subject of forks.

Mine left for Koblenz direct on monday 26 February, the new fork left Koblenz on the 9 March, I am expecting it between today and friday. Just under 3 weeks turn over. Glad I bypassed the french dealer.

More when it arrives

What? is there Canyon a Community in France.

I think you will need the 56 probably without (or only 0,5-1cm) spacer.
the size difference of the headtube is 1,5cm

Do you got a geometry of your current frame? (if you got one)
and how's your position on that one? (do you want more comfortable or deeper)

Also I think it won't be a big problem for a stem swap, If you ask them and you're lucky they will do.

They will swap the F99 stems at an additional price of €20.
I'm not a gynecologist, but I'll take a look

That's what I did. I ordered the frame I thought would fit me the best, and then asked them to put a 135mm stem on it instead of the 120mm.

Once I got the bike I decided to get a frame one size smaller and put a 140mm stem on it (plus I like the white 2007 look better than my black 2006). So, I'll have to sell the F99 and get another stem.
