So frame arrived Wednesday and managed to get it built up ahead of my trip to Majorca to tomorrow

Have only ridden it around the block to check out brakes etc but very initial feel is that it does have some of the Aethos feel, the tight control you get from the specialised geometry and feels much lighter / livelier than the weight alone would suggest.

I have a Club ride today which will give a better idea.

The weight built with 50mm wheels is 6.4kg (with pedals, power meter and computer mount.

Without PM and 30mm wheels would drop about 230g.

Bikes pics to follow….

Next phase is to tune the weight down to sub 6kg, for the Alpes in 3 weeks.

The shallower wheels will go on, and a number of other tweaks - 6kg should be doable for a modest outlay of £/$. I should get very close to 5.9kg …..

So, it is looking increasingly likely I will buy the ICAN FL1.

From what I see they appear to have a good reputation for build quality (there isn’t much out there, but what does exist seems to be positive; eg Hambini). Frame appears relatively new to their range.
I have a set of ICAN wheels and bought them thinking they would be throw away wheels (cheap price). Surprisingly, they have been amazing. Rock solid, still true after 20K miles and can take a beating.

ICAN makes good stuff.

You need to crouch when taking pictures of your bike. The pics will look way better.

Looks surprisingly decent/normal!

What size are those tyres (WAM), and would wider ones fit?
