Back with the updates. My Rotor Aldhu carbon delaminated from the mount bolt and they didn't have any stock and the ETA for them was basically unknown - so I swapped them out for the alloy version and meh, whatever. I wanted to post about some headset differences. The headset that shipped with the frame is kind of shit. The ones you see in pictures are different than orb-like one I received. When I wanted to change bars I hit up Trek support and they pointed me to the Domane headset top cover. Much much better for this style of routing and fits the aesthetic of the bike imo.
Tire/rim clearance as promised. 32mm external rims with 28mm tires that measure ~31.5mm.
Full profile if you care.

Thanks! great looking bike!
Any chance you can measure these bits roughly for me? the wr65s are pretty flat for a long section - looks like the 45's taper in quite soon at that kinda elbow point on the chainstay.

So midway through the summer I realized (well my riding partner did) that my seat tube bottle cage bosses were crooked. Upon further inspection, yes they are. (Son of a...) took it to my trek dealer on Friday for warranty and today my new frame arrived.
So check your cages!
Great CS from my local Trek shop.

So I picked up an alr5 today in the blue/pink (love it). But it might have to go back as I'm fairly sure the rear end is offset out of alignment (I hope just offset and not at an angle). The crappy wheels it come with are dished badly, but flipping it in the dropout after taking the disc off doesn't make it as bad to the other side. Also one of the seatstays is a bit of a funny shape, they are ever so slightly curved along their length but one side is almost an s shape instead it's minor but noticeable. Anyone else have anything similar?
Also not clocked this instore - no grommets on the cables that go under the bb? Seems a bit mental!
EDIT: Went to pick up the domane split ring for some integrated bars and had a look at another they had in, seatstays are totally straight so I asked and they said to bring it in and they are exchanging it on warranty.

For those who built up, do you know what the torque spec is for t47 bb?
Service manual talks, about everything but the bb. the Emonda SLR is 40nm for the bb...I'm assuming the same but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

So I want to build this ALR but with 30c clinchers with 24i rims. Sounds like it is safe to install even though spec says 28c?
Another question regarding T47, does this frame require the Praxis T47 with 85.5mm width? What issues would I run into with Token's T47 BB with 86mm?

I use 28's so I cant confirm this. As far as the BB, you should be good to go.openwheelracing wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 4:06 pmSo I want to build this ALR but with 30c clinchers with 24i rims. Sounds like it is safe to install even though spec says 28c?
