Off course not. It does give an idea on how the helmet works. It also looked like most riders where not fitted for that helmet.FlatlandClimber wrote:So the results of a Tour TT show how well a helmet works?
Helmet choice is of course as individual as the position.
But the old TT helmet sat on top of the back for basically everyone I've seen, and you never see pros without sponsorship restrictions using it.
The new helmet is a lot closer to the effect of a Kask Mistral with the chopped tail that several Ineos riders have used in the past, or even the Met drone.

Look how ugly / mushroomy it looks in real life !!!Roadbiker10 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 12:01 pmHow different tastes are. The white yellow does not look good at all imo. I love the all white. It's my favorite helmet color, as on the Poc Venral air and the HJC Ibex 2.0 vintage white. I am tempted.Zappano wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 5:42 pmSo, uhm... where are all the nice colours?
There's only white, black and red available. But none of the nice colours (like the white/yellow or the blue version). And they are all mat - who wants a mat helmet? They are a annoying to clean.
I'd like these glossy colors:

The weight is 270g, so about the same as the old one.

And I guess they tried to get the best shot lol

I'm not sure. From some angles it looks good and some not. I just got my Sagan Evade 2 Disruption a few months ago so I don't have a reason to change now. Even though I like the white. I think the old one looks more sleek.Yoln wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 7:13 pmLook how ugly / mushroomy it looks in real life !!!Roadbiker10 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 12:01 pmHow different tastes are. I'm curious if the profile looking from the front is smaller on the 3 or not. It would be interesting to see a side by side comparison.

Just got recommended this video of the new Evade III and it shows a fourth colorway that isnt on the website, a white helmet with black SWorks Logo and black vent.

First ride with the New Evade 3.
For me, the fit is the same like the old Evade 2 but the cooling is so much better! It was around 25-27 degrees and the difference with the older evade 2 is enormous. Almost like the older prevail 2 (not vent one). Not thought once that i wanted to get back home and put my Prevail 2 vent on.
I like the look of it too. It mostly math white but on the sides its a little bit off gloss white. Love it!
Wil make some pictures to compare the new Evade 3 vs Evade 2 (for people that are interested to compare the two with each other).

Front on the Evade III looks good, but watching the TdF today, seeing the side profile reminded me of this -
I knew I'd seen it somewhere but couldn't place it!

That looks pretty good. It would be nice I you could take a pic from the front side by side with the 2.ODC wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 12:57 pmFirst ride with the New Evade 3.

Thanks. Profile seems the same. I like it more and more. Only the back of it has had a major change. Personally, I like the back of the 2 better. While the front looks better on the 3. The all white is spot on.

When UCI bans socks that are too high, this face sock thingy is going to get banned pronto as well. I hope it does anyway - looks ridiculous.

UCI idiocy is why we have such bland looking double-triangle race bikes, supertuck bans and sock height rules.

A completely separate debate, but I think sensible to draw some lines on equipment in sports. Swimmers have been banned from wearing full length swimsuits. There are limits on running shoe sole height. Etc., etc. If you don't put any limits on cycling clothing, we will no doubt have fully encapsulating TT suit that cover the full body and the helmet into one uninterrupted silhouette, and it would take a small team to properly put one on. And if there are no limits on bikes, they'll all be in recumbents. Maybe cool to see that, but it's a different sport. Exactly where we should draw these lines is something everyone disagrees with all the time, but that's just life.TobinHatesYou wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 9:43 pmaeroisnteverything wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 9:27 pmWhen UCI bans socks that are too high, this face sock thingy is going to get banned pronto as well.
