I've just purchased a July 2021 SL7 Pro and am wondering if there is a simple way for me to check if the steerer recall compression ring and extended bung have been fitted ?
Take it apart and check? You will see in 2 seconds if you either have the new parts or not.
That's what I did , didn't realise it was as easy to check. Turns out I have the black down level one.
I phoned the bike shop hoping they'd just send me the parts but they want the bike in to check the steerer, order the parts and fit.

Current weight with the CLXIIs, pedals, cages, and mount is 6.77kg. I'm probably going to buy a 45mm wheel set which should bring it down to ~6.45kg.

Looks great - would you mind letting me know what spacer you are using for the roval rapide stem (MagCAD?)

Thanks

Of course! I'm using the MagCad "short" headset kit. It looks much cleaner if you're not slamming.

Has anyone used any of alternate carbon seat posts for the SL7 such as the ones listed on eBay such as the Hylix or the other one. Any feedback would be appreciated. Image

I was thinking of your frameset.

I do see some similarities bar the rear triangle  it's hard to see in photos but the matte white also has a holographic marble effect similar to Alaphilippe's bike from the beginning of 2022.

Also, thanks everyone!

Does anyone know if the 2024 9R Sl7s have the new plastic compression ring from the SL8?

Unlikely, the stock SL8 compression ring isn't compatible with the SL7 lower mandatory transition spacer. You can however modify the SL8 compression ring to make it compatible. I posted about it (I don't remember what thread, but likely this one).

Asked myself a few pages back. Eager to see one fitted. Please post
If you get one. Their cannondale s6 seatpost looks great, much better than cannondale's.

I have a couple of their normal round seat posts. They're really hard to adjust the angle but otherwise they've been solid.

My size 52 pro frame in the blue onyx color is 782g without hardware. I wonder why that color is so much heavier.

My SL7 (Fact 10). Waiting for Hylix seatpost to arrive but should be 6.54kg final weight.

Colour is gloss metallic midnight shadow / black, which is probably adding some weight but love the colour (it has a purple tint). Makes a difference to my other Matt black / raw carbon bikes Image

Dropping the PM and using my climbing wheels, would put it at 6.2kg, but like the look of the deeper sections and having moved to shimano chainrings (from Extralite) will take the weight penalty for the silence and smooth shifting.

Image

[apologies for the chainrings, will flog myself later!!]

Frameset: Tarmac SL7 FACT 9r Carbon

Is it likely that the frameset with the translucent carbon will be the lightest finish of the three SL7 Sports?
