4iiii podium power meter weather proof ness

has anyone tried running the 4iiii podium in serious mud or bad conditions this past winter (i'm not sure when it became available).
I'm thinking about getting power on my 6800 left crank over the summer (for a cross bike actually), and not sure about the podium (the usb charging one) versus the other one (coin battery) in terms of weather and mud protection (are either of these units ok for crossing?)
