Hello all,

I’m not very experienced with what I need, so I thought I would ask for advice. Road section of forum get a lot of activity, why I ask here. I am wanting a road Q factor THM M3 crank for a 1x all road bike. I only see 1x system for the mountain thm crank. Does this have any relevance to using 1x in road version?

Do I need to order the THM tool and bottom bracket as well? Currently have a WheelsMan. gxp bracket. Any advice on a narrow-wide chainring greatly appreciated too, or any info related to setting one of these up. Thank you much.

I run a THM Clavicula 110BCD (fixed spider) as a 1x on one of my rides.
I just mount the chainring to the outer position, as on mine that side is closest to the center of the cassette.

The M3 has a bolt-on spider that cannot be reversed. So just choose whatever side of the spider works better.

You can also fine-tune the chainline by changing up the spindle washers, which can adjust the cranks to the right if needed.
(but the right arm contacts the drive side bearing, so you can't adjust it to the left any.)

And of course you can always adjust how the cassette sits on the freehub for further chainline tuning.

Or you can skip that and buy Easton EC90SL which is ready for one by 11.

Light weight, light on the wallet.

@upfromone I ordered the SE from fairwheel today, no M3 in stock. I will be using a praxis ring, hope it aligns we’ll mounted on outside position as it looks better. I went with thm bottom bracket, live in the NW like you...any issues with bearing life with our weather?

Thank you all
