I have a new braze on tab coming for my supersix. I got the old one off and rivets out, lower mounting hole cracked in half. On the back of the existing tab it looks like there is some sort of glue residue. On a old thread others suggested to use epoxy when reinstalling. Or just use the 3 new rivets the kit comes with? Suggestions?

I've used both a small amount of epoxy, and also clear, contact adhesive, to hold the braze on in place whilst riveting it on. I preferred the contact adhesive, it was neater….. No further problems so far!
I've done several, I didn't use both products on the same braze on…..
