RS910 junction in the steered tube,

I would like to see if I can fit the rs910 junction into my steerer tube as I use my handlebar ends for snacks. Is the size of the new junction smaller than the old ew90a which is currently there? Is there a point to getting the new junction, new functions or is it just position? anybody have an image of the new junction next to old liking at where the wires connect? I cover the ew90a with some tape over the hole so water does get inside, I also run no steerer cap as I have not adjusted that in a while.

Is a great spot to hide peanut m&m's. It is from a long time bike packing of where do I for that one extra piece.plus you don't have to carry around that heavy wrapper
