Why would you use an expensive Edco on an Ultegra equipped bike anyway?
Because that is the situation of the TS, probably you lost focus on that.

I bought DA because it comes in 12-28 and Ultegra does not.
Also got a good deal on it, would not pay full price.
Too bad Ultegra or SRAM doesn't come in 12-28.

For the same use/conditions I would bet the cheaper you go the longer it lasts. Usually top end cassettes are lighter due to materials that are lighter but also less durable for the application.

I change chains at 75% and generally got 3 chains from a cassette.
I'd guess I get 7000 miles from a chain, I wipe down the chain after virtually every ride and re-lube. My drive train is always super clean.
