Yep, that seems to be my situation.
Would love someone to tell me I am doing something basic/noob wrong but I can't for the life of me work it out. A 9000 12/28 works a treat with RD9150 but the 11/28 red is not happy and yet it works a treat with the RD9070. I'm running the 9150 with the Sram red 11/28 at the moment. It's usable but far from ideal........... and I don't really want to chew up my Extralite hubs with the DA cassettes so I will keep persevering for now............ but I can see flea bay getting another couple of listings

are you using a sram chain? if not, might be worth trying to see if the shifting improves

I started with the SRAM chain due to the 1190 cassette. Swapped to Dura Ace chain when I caved and installed the 9100 cassette. Shifting is maybe a little better with DA chain and 1190 cassette but still not ideal.

I'm also looking to change my Miche 11-30 cassette with the new Dura Ace CS-R9100 (11-30) or SRAM XG-1190 (11-30). Between these 2 which one would you recommend for a combination of Ultegra DI2 rear derailleur with 36-52 Rotor Q rings (for best shifting and silence, weight is similar from what I know...)?

That's incorrect. Sram has it. Shimano's 11-28 doesn't. The list below is from Sram's website.

I change between two sets of wheels frequently one with SRAM cassette and one DA. RD & FD are 9150. Both 11-28. I seem to be having problems with the SRAM 11-28 cassette, won't drop in to the 11 and the middle gears seem to be slow down shifting, but no problem at all with gear changes on the DA. Second time this has now happened.
Would it be better to have two cassettes the same?, if so I'll buy another SRAM.

I guess it has nothing to do with the cassette, but simly a slight difference in hub spacing. Hence why you can't drop in the 11. Use some thin shims as to space both wheels identically and you are good to go. Had to do the same with my Elite Drivo trainer. A 2mm spacer was enough to have the same crisp shifting as with a regular rear wheel.

Would that still be the case if both wheels are the same brand. Lightweight Ventoux and Obies.

Yes, it could. I'd set it up so that your limit screw allows it to drop into the 11 on the "hesitant" wheel. If that then screws up shifting on the other wheelset, a thin .25mm shim or two (these are available from wheels mfg.) behind the cassette on that wheel until you're good w/ both.
Sometimes its just the way tolerances stack.

On your 9150 RD, try backing out the high gear limit screw. The 9150 RD moves to a point lower than the 11th position, then back to the 11th position after one second. This will help your shifting to the 11th.

Depending on your budget a Dura Ace 12-28 might fit? Or an 11-25/12-25. I live in a very flat area, so a 12-25 is perfect with close ratios all the way through the cassette: 12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19-21-23-25
