Does anyone know the meaning of 311 printed on the sides of my assos germany flag jersey? I asked assos contact website and they replied it has no specific meaning. However why put this number if it has no meaning.

All the Assos neopro jerseys have a number there, each country an other number.
Like Italy 003, USA 131, UK 331, etc

Just a fantasy application/rider startnumber on the shirt for show.

And you wonder why people all over the world get fed up with the US lording it over everyone else... Not saying the US deserves what it has experienced at the hands of those clad in robes of late but it certainly explains it.
If the grand tours are like classical music, kermesse racing is punkrock, Belgian style.

311 is the vehicle prefix for a Volkswagen Type 3, aka Fastback/Squareback/Notchback

All part numbers begin with 311 xxx xxx

I work at a bike shop in Switzerland, so our local Assos rep' is at the headquarters frequently. He told us a story that the first run of jerseys like this had a number for one of the countries that was the local emergency services number, or something equally inappropriate. Assos only realized this after shipping out the first run of jerseys, then had to recall them all for that country and reprint them with a different number :D

So, the numbers are supposed to have no meaning, but they may have many different meanings.
