I have a trek Speed Concept. It has pretty clunky 105s that I'm going to upgrade. I'm contemplating a set of Quark power meter cranks with ultegra derailers. On reading the Quark website, the Quark compatible with Shimano uses a BB30. The Trek has BB90. Sorry for the ignorance, but can I replace the BB90 bearings with BB30s?

You would use the gxp version of the quarq and use the gxp bb90 bearing set.

Thank you.

A few follow ups.

1) the quark is set up for Dura Ace chain rings. Assuming I put the DA chain rings on, will that still be compatible with Ultegra cassette and derailers?

2) I like this bike, but I'm not sure I love it. If I end up getting a Shiv (BB30) or Cervelo, am I correct in assuming I'll have big problems transferring the Quark over to the new bike ?

Thanks

1) Yes, there is no issue with compatibility

2) No, you just buy the appropriate BB adapter. More info here http://blog.artscyclery.com/ask-a-mecha ... 0-bbright/
