DI2 firmware Query after changing battery

Hi,
I have just changed the battery on my DI2 set up from a external battery to an internal battery.

The only component that has changed is the battery.
The system seems to work and changes ok.
When I tried to check the firmware I got an error saying the system will not function normally with the recognized combination of units.

Anyone any ideas or a solution?

Should i try and update the battery separately - if so how do i do this?

The last time I had this issue it was because the battery had a different version than the other components after replacing a defective battery with a new one. Ran an update on everything and all was good. If you want to do just the battery believe that you can by having it as the only component hooked up to the junction-remove the shifter connection(s) and pull the connections at the derailleurs if you just want to do the battery-but I'd update everything, unless you have a 10 spd fd with an 11 spd rear.

the 3 port one
can i plug ghe firm ware adaptor directly into the battery?

Be sure that you have the latest version of the E-Tube software. Recently, my E-tube software was out of date but it kept saying there were no updates to download. I fully un-installed the software and downloaded the latest version fresh from the website and did a full install and an issue I had with it not recognizing an external battery was sorted.

The way to do this is via the pce diagnostic unit. That allows direct individual firmware updates on a per component basis.
