That is interesting indeed. Compared to a six13 there are differences in the lug shapes, the head tube, and of course they never came with a carbon rear triangle. Fork is different shape as well.

The seller provides a serial# CFR0324031 whose format does not appear to be a Cannondale format according to this site http://vintagecannondale.com/info/serial_numbers/

I'm inclined to say it's something else with Cannondale decals added. I don't know who else was making frames like this though.

Does the seller have any other information?

I don't think so, maybe an older french alu/carbon frame , they were numerous before the era of full carbon

Looking around my bike shed, I have 9 very nice bikes built up from eBay purchased frames. Some NOS and some used. Obviously one needs to do some due diligence on the seller and ask questions, but I have never had a bad experience in over 10 years.

In the case of the OP's frame, if it was me, I would just back away.

I've had some great bikes from eBay over the years. Collect in person, if you don't like it don't pay.

Not exactly, based on the images I could find, but a lot closer to that than to Cannondale. I had wondered if the OP frame was Ti.

As stated earlier, this bike is probably not a Cannondale. Not to say it's not a bad frame, but just not Cannondale - if that's what you are looking for.

And about the eBay comment. eBay has new AND used frames. New and used built bikes (OEM, custom) as well. I have even built a few and sold them there, so I know it's a good place to look for stuff. Only caveat is you need to know what you are looking for as people will tell you anything and you can't always see what you are getting before buying. :beerchug:

I have had Cannondales since I was 16 and they were known for seamless welds with no lugs even way back when.... This is a fake frame and who knows if its even safe.... :noidea:

Not a Cannondale.

1. Cannondale never produced a road frame with carbon seat stays.
2. Cannondale never glued carbon to aluminum. It pressed the carbon in to cutouts in the aluminum - look at the Six-13 image, you can see cut outs where the carbon is pressed in.

The only way this is a real Cannondale is if it was some type of prototype that was never produced, which I doubt.
