Update 17/08/16
jekyll man wrote:

I paid for a special order XR1 in february. It took 5 weeks before i got an answer as to when it would appear. Was meant to be 12 weeks in total. Week 11, i got a call saying they weren't doing them anymore.
Was offered an xr2 at the right price but it would be another 5 weeks; should have been here a fortnight ago. Still waiting..... :noidea:

XR2 finally turned up 3.5 weeks after it appeared in the country. Picked her up about 10 days ago.
Thank fudge its a hell of a lot quicker than their distributors

I'm close to buying one... any ride reports would be much appreciated (especially from those who have experience with the XR2)

A comment Ive heard about the Specialissima is that it mutes out the road so much that its a bit dull to ride. My major concern with the XR4 would be that its too plush and comfortable. You want a racing bike to give you feedback, you want to feel the texture of the road beneath you. A racing bike should never feel like the an armchair endurance bike. Hopefully the XR4 manages to take the sharpness out of high frequency buzz without muting out the symphony of the road.

Boys, i also decided to go with xr4, size 55, campa sr mechanical + bora one 50. Of course celeste! Kind of birthday/christmass gift...:)

I must swap however metron vivion bar/stem combo - stem is to long there. What are you recommendations for 90mm/42cm c/c set?

I have ITM X-ONE in my mind.. what you think? Other alternatives fitting this nice frameset well?

My XR4 is being delivered in next week. To be built before the new year. The local Bianchi agents sent me this pic of their test bikes.

One of our clients in Switzerland is having one built up next week. He's selling his Pinarello Dogma F8 Wiggo Special Edition (see ads) to pay for it!

Agreed! Never been a huge fan of Bianchi, but this is beginning to change my mind
It only hurts if you think.
