I just ordered an SL1.1 frame and the bike shop said the 2016 frames were sold out and the 2017 will ship in July. They sent me a picture. He wasn't sure if anything but the colors changed. Here is the picture.

Very nice! I wonder what the 2017 Transonic looks like. I just got a 2016 Transonic frame.

Is that piece of carbon and little bolt above the bottom bracket a built in chainring guide?

Yes. And it's made of plastic and adjustable.

I like it. They toned down the graphics a little. I'm still lovin' my 2016.

I had the exact same choice too, but the former is good for me as it is priced well locally, I don't have to wait, and it's cheaper so I can save for more weightweenie parts. I wouldn't use the canyon cockpit too, just not the size that I want. Resale value is probably higher for the Canyon though.

Yeah for sure the canyon resale value is better. But man with the money I can save can't beat that Fuji has really steped its game up lately. It's a hard decision,, which one are you talking about the fuji or the canyon??

You in SG, right? How much did you get quoted for the Fuji SL?

2885sgd. They mentioned that this 2017 paint scheme will only arrive in November, probably at 2985sgd.

Thanks. Thats slightly above USD1,999 but still reasonable. The price here is quite inflated compared to US RRP.

Ok, I shot Fuji a message on Facebook and they said

1. In 2017, the Fuji SL 1.1 will be renamed the SL Elite, but it'll be exactly the same in specs and geometry.

2. There will be a disc version for the frame coming as well. Again, same carbon, geometry etc.
