I can't figure out how to change the free-hub body of my Campa Bora Clincher rear wheel.
Most of the time you only need an Allen key and a 17 key to losen the bolt that holds the free-hub body. After that you can slide of the free-hub body.
I can't do this with the bora clinchers. The free-hub body is not moving. Anybody knows what I do need more to remove the free-hub body Bora clincher?
Thanks

Gotta pull the axle bro. YouTube has what you need to know. #thetruthisoutthere

Are you sure? Remove the complete axle to remove the freehub body? I don't need a complete overhaul but only change a campa freehub.

17mm open-ended wrench needs to be turned clockwise to loosen ... as you no doubt know.

Yep, one must remove the axle, when you do you will understand why it must be so. Don't let it phase you, I switched my Bora freehub over in a lazy handfull of minutes.

i can pull the freehub from mine without removing the axle? just by using a 17 and a unbraco wrench, i can't see why you need to remove the axle.

after fully removing the 17 nut(1) and a special cup shape washer(2) .. rotate (in the free direction) and slowly rock the free hub body, it will come off. For sure you need not remove the axle. I just did mine last week.

PS : Make a line marking along the allen key nut and the 17 lock nut (1) so you do not need to get a torque wrench to figure out the torque loading when you fit back the new free hub.

Ok I understand it. This is the way I remove the freehub body from my fulcrum and other Campa wheels.
So there is no difference between the construction/removal freehub body between Bora en Bora clincher?
As I said the freehub body will not come loose on my Bora clinchers the way fh8425 describes. ;-( Maybe I need to rock the freehub body harder to come loose.

hi poppiholia... besides rocking the free hub side to side, also apply a pulling action away from the hub ...don't apply excessive force .. it will come loose when all the pawls inside the free hub are collapsed but cannot align that cos you cannot see it (i hope i am making some sense to you here) ..

good luck.
