Well I've decided to go with eTap (as mentioned earlier), Quarq Red PM, Deda Elementi Superleggera 31 cockpit and my old Reynolds Assault SLG wheelset. Have all the parts, just waiting on the frame, which is supposed to arrive this month.

moonoi what's your feedback on Sram eTap? I'm building a bike up at the moment and in two minds between eTap and SR mechanical. My head says eTap, heart says SR.

I have no regrets, love it. Shifting is fast, accurate and intuitive. Put around 1400km on it without any problems in all weathers.

One argument for Campag here is the prospect of wireless EPS in future on the basis you'll be able to keep chainset, cassette and brakes ... which on aesthetic grounds are nice to have from the same group as the shifting anyway

Do you own xx1? I do, and believe me, 3 years later with only chain needed replacing, it is a wonderful groupset..
It is also the most silent groupset I ever rode. (including road bike's).

And how many kilometers do you do in that bike per month? 30km?

does the campy EPS has FD auto trim function? i find that might be the only reason i would switch to electronic

I have the SR mechanical on my C60 and honestly I prefer my 25 y.o Dura Ace STI 8 speed in my Colnago Dream.

I really don't understand why so many recommend SR mechanical. I suppose because of the "italian tradition"

If you are sensitive to change gear speed, I recommend campy.

sorry but IMHO a Campy groupset would look way better on this Colnago. Just look at those derailleurs... and brakes...

Campagnolo super record mechanical would have been beautiful.

The black SRAM red looks good too.

Have you considered getting an all black saddle?
