Cipollini Nk1k or Scott Foil 2016 HMX
Moderator: robbosmans
I am buying the complete bike.
I want buy the best between Zero.6 and Cipollini NK1K.
Now I have the new Zero.7, and I love its look and Wilier brand. So for me the Zero.6 is very attractive. The weight of 680g of the frame kit is unbelievable for a frame with integrated fork.
But also I love the Cipollini brand and I think that ( also based on how much you have advised me ) this is made better in the sense of better workmanship, better manifacture, better carbon fiber, better way of bonding and also that this is very 100% made in Italy.
But as I said I'm looking for a good all rounder bike.
So if you say that the Cipollini NK1K is the best choice I will choose this.

Ok. I say: "the Cipollini NK1K is the best choice".
Go for it. End of thread.

I can see your interest in both bikes. Then ofcourse you have Derosa, which looks similar to NK1K.
But it doesn't use same fibers as NK1K and i don't know where it's made.

It's a bit of a pity that you can't test ride the NK1K. For what it matters, i would worry mostly for which bike you would actually like the ride feel best of.

Sorry if i lost read something, but do you not consider others frames/brands?
If you want light weight, handmade, top quality carbon, exclusivity... Maybe you can consider a AX Lightness Vial Evo D (Ok, not italian made and I dont know if it fits you). Cheaper than Cipo (€3790 on starbike) and with real customers reviews (not only magazines) with very good feedbacks (WheelsONfire is a owner). If money isn't a problem you can go with a 600g AX Vial Evo Ultra.
Edit: or go custom with Berk (light, handmade, custom color and geometry...)

Instead the AX vial EVO ultra I prefer the Zero.6. I like its look and I love the its integrated fork on a ultralight frame.
I do not like De Rosa design.
please could you explain to me better? I have trouble understanding what you mean.
However the avaibility of this two frame is difficult. They are rare. So it is impossible find a dealer who have this to show, and it is more difficult that the dealer have this to test.
Instead I found the new scott foil hmx premium available to be tested.
If all of you advise me that the best all rounder, between this two frame, is the CIpollini NK1K, I think that I have chosen.

I ment, if you look at these 3: Foil, NK1K and Zero.6, i would take the bike that offers the best ride feel.
Maybe one of these feels better, that is the one i would go for.
(Provided the frame size fits you ofcourse )
New frames/ bikes will come all the time. So ultimately it should be down to ride feel over weight, or?
I think we'll adapt pretty fast to a small weight difference. But the ride feel is probably what will make it a keeper,... or the opposite!?
Looks is one thing, but after a few months i still think ride feel would win over looks.
